Dermadry treatments are generally well tolerated, but you may experience some temporary side effects, including:
- Irritation, skin reddening, burning sensation, small blisters, and itching.
- Tingling and stinging sensations.
- Muscle numbness may occur.
- Slight pain could be felt at the beginning of the treatment or after the polarity alternating sequence.
- Increased sweating: After the first few treatments, you may experience an increase in sweating. This typically subsides after a few sessions.
- Small electric shocks during treatment: In very rare cases, a harmless electric shock may occur if the session is interrupted suddenly. To avoid this risk, remove your hands, feet, or underarm electrodes slowly. Electrodes can be safely removed at any time during treatment.
- Skin dryness: Skin may become dry, and small lesions or scaling may occur.
- Allergic reactions to components (silicone, cotton, or cellulose): Users may develop red, bumpy, scaly, itchy, or swollen skin at the point of contact.
What to do:
- Reduce current intensity in your next session.
- Pause treatment until symptoms subside, and if symptoms worsen after discontinuing treatment, seek medical attention.
- If any side effects are visible (e.g. blisters, redness, rashes), email a photo to our support team for evaluation before resuming treatment.
- Cover small lesions or sensitive spots with petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) to insulate them from the current.
- Use a moisturizing cream to relieve dryness or flaking.
- If signs of an allergic reaction appear (e.g. rashes or swelling), discontinue use and contact our support team immediately.
If you're uncertain whether to resume use, contact your healthcare provider or reach out to our support team for guidance.
Note: To minimize the risk of irritation, it's recommended to start your first session at a low current (e.g. 01 mA) and gradually increase to the highest comfortable level in subsequent sessions.
